SolinDx™

SolinDx™ is an ELISA assay kit used for the measurement of plasma gelsolin (pGSN) in human plasma samples. The assay is performed in pre-coated, break-apart, 96 well microtiter plates. The kit contains all the reagents necessary to run the assay. Results are available in 60-90 minutes. Kits are currently available.

ActinDx™

ActinDx™ is an ELISA assay kit used for the quantitative measurement of the amount of circulating actin in serum. The assay is available as a 96-well microtiter plate kit with all necessary reagents included. The assay is expected to be available Summer, 2009.

Solinex™

Solinex™ is the brand name for human recombinant gelsolin (rhu-pGSN). It is an investigational drug currently being manufactured for CBC by QSV Biologics, Ltd., a qualified contract manufacturing organization located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  Manufacture of this biotechnology drug is performed under strict current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) conditions. The protein is harvested from E. coli transfected with an expression plasmid containing the human cDNA coding for pGSN. The purification of rhu-pGSN consists of four chromatographic steps and a final diafiltration/concentration step using crossflow ultrafiltration. Proper folding of the molecule is completed during the processing. The drug is formulated as 10 mg/mL rhu-pGSN solution for IV infusion.

CBC is committed to expanding its knowledge of pGSN in both diseased and healthy subjects. As such, the company is making the SolinDx™ kits available for epidemiological studies and Solinex™ for use in animal models and biochemical experiments.
